Local Missions
At Lake Houston Methodist Church, we are committed to serving our community through local missions. We partner with organizations like Family Promise to provide temporary housing and support services to families experiencing homelessness.
Additionally, we regularly hold Blood Drives with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and donate food and essential items to the Huffman Food Pantry to help those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
We believe that serving our community is a fundamental part of our mission as a church, and we invite you to join us in making a positive impact on the world around us.
Seasonal Missions
At Lake Houston Methodist Church, we have a heart for serving our community through seasonal missions. In October, we host our annual Pumpkin Patch fundraiser where families can pick the perfect pumpkin while enjoying activities like hayrides and photo opportunities. The money raised from this event supports our missions, youth, and children's ministries.
As Thanksgiving approaches in November, we collect and distribute food and other essentials to families in need through our Thanksgiving Basket drive.
In November and December, we partner with Operation Christmas Child to provide gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world. This initiative is a powerful way to share the love of Christ and bring joy to children during the holiday season.

Supporting Youth Missions
Lake Houston Methodist Church is dedicated to empowering and challenging students to participate in missions work that enables them to make a positive impact in the world. Through various fundraisers, we provide sponsorships for our youth to attend programs such as the U.M. ARMY Sr High Mission Trip, SUMMIT Jr High Mission Trip, FUGE camps, church camp, and more. Our mission team is committed to helping our youth serve others and grow in their faith through missions work.
