The Global Methodist Church has teamed up with Ministry Safe as a provider for our training in place to help protect children, youth, and vulnerable adults in our care. All adults who work with children, youth, or vulnerable adults must be Ministry Safe certified and must re-certify every 2 years.

Your ministry leader should contact our Business Admin to start this process. However if you need to start the process please email business@lakehoustonmethodist.org

1 - Download the Lake Houston Methodist Church Safe Shepherd Policy

The Ministry Safe training is designed for general church use and is helpful for training individuals in awareness and protection of children and vulnerable adults. Additionally, though, our church follows specific guidelines that you should be aware of. We encourage you to download our Safe Shepherd policy and have it for reference. 2 - Watch the Ministry Safe Video

You should receive an email link which will take you to the ministry safe video and quiz. Watch the series of videos and then take the quiz.

3 - Turn In Your Background Check Release Information

As a volunteer at Lake Houston Methodist Church, we require yearly Background Checks for all individuals. Please fill out a Background Check release form and turn it into our church office. You are required to do so before you will be certified to work with children and youth at Lake Houston Methodist Church.
